The Annual Tequila Fair

You know it isn’t an average Wednesday when you find yourself stood in the Mexican Ambassador’s Residence drinking tequila – not an average one but a bloody good one.

Tequila Season 2010

The occasion was the 6th annual Tequila Fair to celebrate this year’s Tequila Season. Hosted by Café Pacifico and La Perla with Carlos Fernando Londono, everything ran like clockwork and you can imagine just how good the margaritas and food were.

Beneath the chandeliers of the residence were tables occupied by some of the finest Tequila brands on the market, as well as a couple of new offerings – Excellia and Chamucos. It was hard to figure out which came first, the fun atmosphere or the generous tequila samples on offer, but either way it was a great combination.

The great and the good of the world of UK Tequila were there, including Tomas Estes and Cleo Rocos, as well as representatives from the country’s top Mexican bars and restaurants.

All in all in was a fantastic way to celebrate the success of this year’s Tequila Season and to be reminded again just how lucky we are in this country to have so many excellent Tequila brands to choose from.
